Likhita Gita Samparan is an opportunity for you to study the Bhagavad Gita by handwriting its verses. 

This traditional and powerful learning technique helps you to retain and recall what you study.

#1 Make a sankalpa (resolve) to handwrite the verses of Gita here. Sharing your sankalpa helps to increase the probability of successful completion. Click here to share your sankalpa with us. We will send you small nudges via email along the way to help you.

#2 – Select a suitable notebook and handwrite the verses of Gita (including Dhyana Sloka and Gita Mahatmyam) every day in any language. Slokas can be written in any language of devotee's choice and need not be in Devanagari script only.

#3 – On Gita Jayanti Day - Wednesday, 11 December 2024, bring your handwritten Gita to place at the altar during the full Gita Parayan.

#4 Collect your blessed and energized handwritten Gita after the Parayan.

An established practice in our tradition to get familiar, memorise, and understand a text is to write it down by hand.

Gita Jayanti Singapore has several activities to bring the message of Bhagawan Sri Krishna in Bhagavad Gita to every one right from a kids to a seniors. Likhita Gita Samarpan is the latest initiative.

This year Mokshada Ekadashi - the day on which the Gita was revealed to the world - occurs on Wednesday, 11 December 2024.  Gita Jayanti is organising the Sampoorna Gita Parayan on a mass scale from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm on this day. All devotees can participate in the Sampoorna Gita Parayan and chant the Bhagavad Gita. Full details will be announced in due course.

At the Sampoorna Gita Parayan, devotees can place their own copies of the handwritten Bhagavad Gita books in the Altar before the Parayan commences. These books can be collected back at the end of Parayan. The books will not only be blessed by Sri Krishna but will also be energised by the vibrations created by such a large scale of chanting in one place.

Yes ! It is quite possible. For example, on average, if five (5) slokas or mere 10 lines are written everyday dutifully, it can be completed by the end of November. The number of slokas to be written daily will go up slightly based on the commencement date but please be assured that completion before the Sampoorna Gita Parayan on 11 December 2024 is possible.

The first 20 pages give an excellent introduction to Bhagavad Gita. Then the verses and simple meaning (both in English) are given.

It will be ideal if the meaning or purport of each sloka is also read while writing the Sloka. This will provide an opportunity to understand the direct simple meaning of the Sloka in a systematic manner.

How about encouraging 1 more person to participate? A family member, a friend… ??? Encourage them to join you in writing the Bhagavad Gita Slokas and bring them on the Mokshada Ekadashi day for Samarpan.

You can still participate in Likhita Gita Samarpan. You can take the Sankalpa by notifying at the link given and start writing the Gita Slokas. On Mokshada Ekadashi day, you can place the handwritten Bhagavad Gita in the place of worship at your home and chant the entire Bhagavad Gita, thus getting the book blessed by Shri Krishna
