An introduction to Pujya Yoganand Swami

Pujya Yoganand Swami, born and brought up in USA, completed a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry and went to medical school thereafter. However he didn’t pursue that since he was initiated as a Swami in 2005 by his guru Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

Yoganand Swami spent the next 14 years in the Ashram in India where he studied various Hindu scriptures and languages.

He completed advanced Sanskrit grammar studies and obtained Bachelors Degree in Puranic Scriptures at Shree Somnath Sanskrit University. He also completed his Acharya (i.e. Masters Degree) in Vedanta from the same university. He has spent 3 years studying the Shrimad Bhagvad Gita in detail from a historical, grammatical, and philosophical perspective.

From 2019 onwards, he has been in North America mostly at the Swaminarayan Akshardham in Robbinsville, New Jersey.
